robby & i celebrated our dads on saturday (a day early) by preparing lunch and dessert.
i made signs & brought flowers…
the table was set with hats & gifts for each daddy.
we even drank slushy daiquiris (which helped keep us all cool on the warm day).
we made two different kinds of pizza, & my mom made a delicious salad. mmm…
i made coffee cupcakes with coffee buttercream frosting & topped with dark chocolate covered espresso beans (using a recipe from the primrose bakery cookbook). i was happy with how the cupcakes turned out (i think it was because the recipe included real espresso powder!) we decided on this recipe because both of our dads are coffee lovers. i think the cupcakes were well-received. :)
pam made some completely adorable & yummy desserts as well.
i think the dads had fun devouring food & cupcakes, laughing together, & opening gifts. i hope they felt loved. robby & i always say we are so lucky to have such loving & supportive dads. so we really wanted them to feel special on their day.
